Caramel filled Brownies

Two posts in a row that begin with "caramel filled"... can you tell what's on my mind lately?  Caramel.  And lot's of it.  

The funny thing is that I'm a PRO at burning caramel. Seriously, I can bake and cook a lot of things, I can make candy, but for some reason I just can't get caramel right! Lucky for me, Hot Cakes here in Seattle makes a perfectly good salted caramel sauce, so if you don't want to get too crazy making your own, you can grab a jar of theirs! 

All you will need for these caramel filled brownies is one of my NEW Dark Chocolate Brownie Mixes, and about 1/2 Cup salted caramel sauce. 

Once you've made the brownie batter as instructed on the box, spread half of it into the bottom of your prepared pan.  Spread the caramel sauce in an even layer over that, and then carefully spread the rest of the brownie batter on top.  Finish baking as instructed!
